Restrictions on Firing Employees in Alaska
Employers in Alaska are subject to these state rules that restrict firing employees under certain circumstances.
Alaska laws make it unlawful for an employer to:
- require employees to take polygraph tests
- fail to allow time off to vote
- deny equal employment opportunity
- retaliate against an employee who files a safety, wage, or equal employment opportunity complaint
- retaliate against an employee whose wages are withheld for child support
