Paying Terminated Employees in Delaware

Employers in Delaware must comply with these state requirements when making the final wage payment to terminated employees.

In Delaware, when an employee quits, resigns, is discharged, suspended or laid off, the wages earned by the employee are due on the next regularly scheduled payday.

Payment is made either through the usual pay channels or if requested by the employee, by mail, as if the employment had not been suspended or terminated.
