Restrictions on Firing Employees in Delaware
Employers in Delaware are subject to these state rules that restrict firing employees under certain circumstances.
Delaware laws make it unlawful for an employer to:
- require an employee to take a polygraph test
- fire an employee for serving on jury duty
- fire an employee for filing a wage claim or for reporting a child labor, access to personnel file, or wage/hour law violation
- deny equal employment opportunity
