Employers in Delaware are subject to these state rules that restrict firing employees under certain circumstances.

Delaware laws make it unlawful for an employer to:

• require an employee to take a polygraph test
• fire an employee for serving on jury duty
• fire an employee for filing a wage claim or for reporting a child labor, access to personnel file, or wage/hour law violation
• deny equal employment opportunity
