Georgia Wage Payment Timing Requirements

Employers in Georgia must comply with these state rules regarding the timing and frequency of wage payments.

Employers, except those in farming, sawmill, and turpentine industries are covered under Georgia's wage payment law.

Wages must be paid at least semimonthly and in the full amount due on regularly designated paydays that divide the month into two equal parts.

There is no provision for holding wages over into the next pay period.
