Meal and Break Rules in Hawaii

Employers in Hawaii must comply with these state rules relating to meals and break times.

There are no general meal and break provisions in Hawaii.

A minor who is 14 or 15 years of age may not be employed or permitted to work more than five hours continuously without an interval of at least 30 consecutive minutes for a rest or lunch period.
