Idaho Minimum Wage Law
Employers in Idaho must conform with these state rules regarding the minimum wage paid to employees.
Idaho state law provides that the state minimum wage must conform to the federal minimum wage. Therefore, the minimum wage rate in Idaho is $7.25 per hour.
Idaho's minimum wage and overtime law generally covers all employees, except those who:
- engage in agriculture
- perform domestic service
- are a bona fide administrative, executive or professional
- are outside salespersons
- are in federal or state employment
- work as seasonal employees of a nonprofit camping program
- is a child under 16 working not more than four hours daily with one employer at odd jobs
