Missouri Wage Payment Timing Requirements
Employers in Missouri must comply with these state rules regarding the timing and frequency of wage payments.
The following rules apply to Missouri employers:
- Corporations and railroads must pay wages at least semimonthly, with a 16-day holdover permitted.
- Executive, administrative, professional, sales employees and others compensated on commission basis must be paid at least monthly.
- Employees of mines, stone and granite quarries must be paid at least every 15 days, with a five-day holdover for coal mines.
- Manufacturers must pay employees at least every 15 days, with a 5-day holdover permitted.
