Employers in New Hampshire must conform with these state rules regarding the treatment of tips received by employees.
Employees who are employed by a hotel, motel, inn or cabin who customarily and regularly receive more than $30 in tips per month directly from customers must be paid a base rate of at least 45 percent of the applicable minimum wage.
If the amount of wages an employee receives at the end of a pay period does not equal the minimum wage for all hours worked, the employer must pay the employee the difference to guarantee the applicable minimum wage.
