Employers in New Hampshire must comply with these state rules regarding the timing and frequency of wage payments.
All employers are covered by New Hampshire's wage payment law except employers of domestic labor in the employer's home or farm labor where less than five persons are employed.
Wages must be paid weekly, for employees who work by the day or week. A holdover of eight days is permitted.
The commissioner may permit payment less frequently, but not less than monthly on a regular and predesignated date.
