Paying Terminated Employees in New Mexico

Employers in New Mexico must comply with these state requirements when making the final wage payment to terminated employees.

In New Mexico, discharged workers must be paid within five days when wages are definite in amount and within 10 days in other cases.

Employees who quit and strikers must be paid by the next regular payday.
