Oregon Payroll Tax Reporting and Information Returns

Employers in Oregon must comply with these state rules relating to payroll tax reporting and filing information returns.

Statements to Employees: Federal Form W-2, due by January 31 or within 30 days of date of termination of employment

Information Returns: Form 1099 must be filed electronically for businesses with 100 or more of any one type of information return, effective for calendar year 2012. The transmittal due date is March 31, 2013. Forms 1099-MISC, 1099-G, 1099-R, and W-2G are filed electronically only; paper 1099s will not be accepted. Payers issuing fewer than 100 information returns may also file their 1099s electronically if they choose, and will be required to file electronically starting with 2013 forms due in 2014.
