Puerto Rico employers must provide employees with leave for military duty in accordance with these state rules.
Employees who are members of the military forces of Puerto Rico are eligible for military leave for military service as part of their annual training or for active service.
Employers must reinstate veterans in the same position or work they were performing at the time they were called into the armed forces if they formally request it within six months following discharge, and if the same position or another of the same category still exists.
