Puerto Rico Minimum Wage Law

Employers in Puerto Rico must conform with these state rules regarding the minimum wage paid to employees.

Workers covered by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) must be paid the current federal minimum wage rate.

Workers not covered by the FLSA must be paid a minimum wage equivalent to 70% of the prevailing federal minimum wage rate.

Different minimum wage rates are set in Puerto Rico for workers in different industries.
