Jury Duty Leave Rules in Rhode Island

Rhode Island employers must provide employees with leave for jury duty in accordance with these state rules.

In Rhode Island, it is unlawful to discriminate against employees because of jury duty in terms of loss of position, wage increases, promotions, longevity benefits, or any other emolument.

In the absence of a contract or collective bargaining agreement, employers are not required to pay employees for the period of jury duty.
