Wage Statement Information Required in Rhode Island

Employers in Rhode Island must comply with these state requirements relating to wage statements.

On established paydays, employers must furnish:

• a statement of hours worked during the pay period (not applicable to exempt employees)
• a record of all deductions made from gross earnings for the pay period with an explanation of the basis for the deductions
• for employees in the commercial construction industry only, a record of the employee's hourly rate of pay
