Utah employers must provide employees with leave for military duty in accordance with these state rules.
In Utah, employees who are members of the U.S. Reserves and are ordered to active duty, active duty for training, inactive duty training, or state active duty, are eligible for military leave.
Military leave is limited to five years.
Upon satisfactory release from military training or from hospitalization incidental to the training, employers must reinstate former employees with the seniority, status, pay, and vacation they would have had if they had not been absent for military purposes.
