Vermont employers must provide employees with leave for jury duty in accordance with these state rules.
Vermont law provides that no employer may discharge an employee by reason of his or her service as a juror, nor penalize or deprive him or her of any benefit that is discriminatory between the employee and other employees who do not serve as jurors.
It is unlawful to fail to consider employees serving jury duty to be in the service of the employer regarding seniority, fringe benefits, vacation credit, and other privileges of employment.
No jury duty pay is specified.
