Jury Duty Leave Rules in West Virginia

West Virginia employers must provide employees with leave for jury duty in accordance with these state rules.

West Virginia law provides that it is unlawful to terminate or threaten to terminate or decrease the regular compensation of employment of an employee for the time the employee was away from work because of jury duty.

In addition, it is unlawful to otherwise discriminate against an employee because of jury duty.

Employees need not be paid for lost time.
