Employers in West Virginia must comply with these state rules regarding the timing and frequency of wage payments.

Employers in West Virginia must pay wages at least biweekly unless otherwise provided by special agreement. Payment at more frequent intervals is permitted.

Absent employees of an employer must be paid on demand at any time at the place where wages are usually paid and where the next pay is due.
