Minor Employment Certificate Laws by State

Various restrictions are placed by federal and state laws on the hours and types of occupations in which minors may be employed. States also may require employment certificates for minors you employ.

If you employ minors in your business you should obtain your state's version of an age or employment certificate in order to comply with state child labor laws as well as protecting yourself from unwitting law violations.
